Yutaka is someone who value's his outward appearances more-so then his inward appearance. He appears to be quite amiable, displaying features of someone who is social. He often smiles a lot and his friendly towards strangers. He easily talks with others and doesn't shy away from conversations. Because of this he is quite honest with others; not the type of person you'd ask to keep a secret. When someone asks for advice he'll tell it to you straight. Mind you- he doesn't things based on his own thoughts rather than logically. He does things at his own pace, freethinking in whatever he does. He takes important thought when it comes to things like his families view-points and his own. Making decisions mostly based on what would be most beneficial towards others. (In this sense; his siblings who he cherishes. ) Due to the way he was brought up though, he can be quite spoiled. When he wants something, he has to get it. If something doesn't go his way he is obvious in his dislike towards it. In addition to that, he enjoys extravagant ideas and materials. 'Dramatic' things are what he favors. He prefers getting things of the highest quality. Never settling for less.
His arrogance and perfectionism often leads to his downfall. He thinks quite highly of himself, due to the idea that he has to be 'perfect' he seems to have an increased amount of arrogance. Often his arrogance gets the best of him though and he's left in a frustrated state. Then, he seeks help. Because despite being arrogant he does value the opinions of others, so he can 'make himself be better'. It's just he choose to value his own personal opinions first before he goes to others for assistance. Setting himself on a high pedestal, as he also is the type of person that likes getting into people's business; meddlesome. He's very well the definition of 'curiosity killed the cat'. Irritatingly making things that his business when it's honestly not. Because of this, he is also quite daring, as mentioned because he doesn't shy away from most things. He's someone that enjoys trying new things. He's bold when it comes to sharing new opinions, wanting to see where the situation would go from there. When it comes to the things he values and goals; he is very dedicated. He gets things things done, and does his best to make sure it's the best job he could of done. Piano playing for example is one thing he is very dedicated too. His passion shows through the things he is dedicated too, and it's one of his strongest traits.

◇ His hair is dyed; he dyed it the same time/color his younger sister did. This happened because he knew his parents would blame him rather then scold her. It's natural color is a chestnut brown. He's grown attached to the color however. Saying it makes him look angelic. ◇ Steals his younger sisters shades a lot. "It looks better on me" ◇ Loves cats and dogs. ◇ He wears a lot of dark colors. The lightest color he ever wears is white. ◇ Owns a white ornate piano, he named Cassiopeia- that being said he enjoys naming any piano he owns. ◇ A morning person. The type of person who opens the curtains right after he wakes up. ◇ He almost became a violinist. But his sister 'called dibs' when they were younger. ◇ Speaks fluent English. Better at speaking in English than Japanese. ◇ Has a small musical note tattoo on his wrist |
History:
Yutaka was born into a rather wealthy and large family. Along with his two parents, he had two older brothers and 2 younger sisters. He was the middle child. It was a lively household that enjoyed an emphasis on the word 'family'. They often spent a lot of time together. Things like vacations and such were often. His parents were both photographers whose families were closely nit. So they were rather close to their cousins and such as well. He was born and raised in America, due the fact that his parents met in America and decided to have a family there. But they did move to Japan for sometime because of a job offer his father had before moving back to America once again. Because of how big the family was they were all close, but as they all grew older they all went separate ways. His older brother; Takuma was a businessman in Japan, helping his grandparents company. His other older brother Hiroki; was also staying in Japan. Having stayed in America up until he finished his degree, and is now a professional photographer. Meanwhile, him and his other siblings were currently in college.
Yutaka was the 'trouble child'. He was spoiled often by members of his family, and grew into the habit of getting what he wanted. Eventually as he grew older they stopped with that and thus began constant rebellion against his parents who wanted to give him advice, due to the fact that he seemed to not really have any goals. Insisting he take after his older brother Hiroki and be a photographer like him. Yutaka however, didn't want to live a life in the shadow of his brother, his parents. Even his sister had a bit of their interests. However, Yutaka wanted something more. Something different. Exciting. While they were staying in Japan, he spent a lot of time with his younger sister Narumi in their grandparents home. His grandpa was a talented musician. Childhood memories consisted of him and Narumi spying on their grandfather from afar until he scooped them both up and let them play along with him. It was then, his interest in the piano sparked. He spent days with his grandfather learning from him.
Becoming a pianist wasn't what he initially had wanted. But, he wasn't even sure of what he wanted anyways; and playing the piano was an escape for him. Living day by day, with school and all, he didn't have any other particular interests. Mostly only enjoying the music classes he would attend, or the classes at home that he insisted his parents get him. Due to his family there was a lot of pressure placed on them. 'Would they be like their parents?' was something constantly heard. He often played the piano during parties and dinners, and the applauds and cheers he would get boosted his already high ego. It was something / he / was known for. Not because his parents were like that. But because he chose to do something different. Thus what was meant to be hobby turned into something more as he grew older. Eventually he realized it was what he had wanted to do. Focusing more and more on it. He seemed to have a better sense of himself by the time his 2nd year of high school came around.
His parents were lenient on wherever the kids wanted to attend. Hence the fact that the siblings were rather spread out, attending different schools in different locations. Wanting to broaden his horizons and also travel again he set his sights on the Clefford Conservatory. He knew that he could be better. There were so many good musicians and if he just stayed in one place he wouldn't get to experience more. So he decided to move to Europe. His parents were happy to oblige; his grandfather as well proud that he decided to take on being a pianist. All they really wanted was for their son to have something he was passionate for, and this seemed to be the very thing.
Family:
[Souji, Hiroto] Father; professional photographer. He is a good father who cherishes his children. Although him and Yutaka had a rough time during Yutaka's rebellious phase. The two are on good terms.
[Souji, Marianne] Mother; Yutaka and his mother are very close. She is kind and supporting. If anything, she's the one who still spoils him. She mothers and babies him a lot in public which is embarrassing but he cherishes her so much.
[Souji, Takuma] Older brother; finds him intimidating. The two don't quite see eye to eye, but Takuma takes a lot of interest in Yutaka's music playing. Despite how cold he is, he is supporiting.
[Souji, Hiroki] Older brother; Hasn't seen him recently due to the fact that he moved back to japan. They are close (?), Yutaka uses him just to rant about their younger sisters. He doesn't see Hiroki as the older brother. Often it's mentioned that it seems like Yutaka is the older one.
[Souji, Narumi] Younger Sister; He shares the closest relationship with Narumi. Mostly because the two are quite similar. Due to her rebellious attitude, she's often scolded by their parents. Yutaka often takes the blame for her. The two as a duo are formidable and the are mentioned to me 'the meanest siblings'.
[Souji, Kana ] Younger sister; Literal angel. Due to how naive she is, it's easy for Yutaka to tease her. You mess with her you mess with him. (and everyone else)
